Our SDF Commander-in-Chief, Mazloum Abdi, along with the member of the YPJ command Rohlat Afrin, and the head of the Executive Committee of the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) Ilham Ahmed, have convened with three delegations of tribal leaders and sheiks from Deir Ezzor and its surrounding areas. This meeting is part of the General Command’s routine engagement with community leaders.
During these meetings, the Commander-in-Chief provided an overview of the political and military developments in the region. The focus was on preparing for potential emergencies from security and military perspectives. The Commander-in-Chief and the esteemed notables also evaluated the current living and service conditions, identifying areas where service institutions could improve and implementing alternative plans to address existing challenges.
In this regard, the Commander-in-Chief urged the notables to support the AANES institutions in overcoming shortcomings and to foster greater cooperation to mitigate the war’s impact on the local population. Additionally, he assured the attendees that he would discuss these issues with relevant institutions to find urgent solutions.
The Commander-in-Chief highlighted the need to remain vigilant against any eff
orts by parties associated with the Damascus government to stir up strife and create problems in the Deir Ezzor area. He noted that such actions threaten the security and stability of everyone and only serve the interests of those who seek to undermine the region’s prosperity and future.
Addressing the ongoing threat posed by the terrorist organization ISIS, the Commander-in-Chief reaffirmed the commitment of the SDF to combat these terrorists relentlessly. The SDF will not tolerate any terrorist cells and is dedicated to eradicating them entirely.
