Due to ISIS terrorist acts targeting innocent civilians, local leaders, and security personnel in the Deir Ezzor area, and following the continuous efforts between the general command of our SDF forces, tribal leaders, and community dignitaries, especially recent meetings that have yielded recommendations and calls to urgently pursue ISIS terrorist cells and eliminate their sources, and to fulfill their national and moral military duties, our SDF forces supported by the international coalition forces, have launched today at exactly 08:00 PM “Operation Security Reinforcement” on the eastern bank of the Euphrates River, specifically in the Deir Ezzor region.
This operation, with well-defined objectives, is a completion of prior operations in the Al-Jazeera and Raqqa areas. Its primary goals encompass eradicating the ISIS terrorist cells, thwarting their potential attacks, and pursuing criminals responsible for perpetrating injustices against the local population. It also aims at tracking down smugglers who exploit the populace’s livelihoods.
This operation is one of the advanced stages in the joint fight against ISIS led by our forces and supported by the international coalition forces, and it will last until its specified objectives are met. The participating units are committed to establishing security and stability in cooperation with the civil administration and local leaders, relying on populace’s awareness of the dangers of terrorist cells and criminal elements. Our forces will spare no effort in executing their tasks and striking with an iron fist the terrorists and murderers, along with anyone who shelters them.
